Why We Started

Rooted in the Culture was founded with one purpose: to create products that celebrate Black culture every day—not just during Black History Month or Juneteenth, but all year long.

We wanted to build more than a clothing brand.

We wanted to build a lifestyle brand that reminds people of the beauty, strength, and influence of our culture through thoughtfully designed products for everyday life.

Hi, I'm Andra, founder of Rooted in the Culture.

This brand was born from a passion for celebrating our culture and creating products that people can wear, display, use, and proudly share with their families.

I've always believed that representation matters. Seeing ourselves reflected in the things we wear and the items we bring into our homes is powerful. It reminds us where we've been, how far we've come, and the legacy we're building together.

My hope is that every product we create sparks a conversation, tells a story, or simply makes someone smile with pride.
